At First Baptist, we think of “doing church together” as a stool with 3 legs – Sunday worship, Community Groups, and opportunities to serve one another.

Sunday Worship
Central to our life together in Christ is the regular meeting of His body on Sundays to worship our great God and Redeemer, and to study His Word.  At 9:00am we offer Sunday School for everyone, followed by worship at 10:30am.

For more about Sundays, read our philosophy of corporate worship or a more detailed view of Sunday mornings at First Baptist.

Community Groups
Our Community Groups, which meet in homes twice a month, are another integral part of life together in Christ at First Baptist.  In Community Groups, we have opportunity not only to get to know one another better for encouragement and growth, but we also pray for and reach out to the community around us with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Serving One Another
A third way we do church together at First Baptist is through servant-leadership.  Whether it’s leading a community group, making goodies for ravenous youngsters, helping in the nursery, or mowing the grass, there are lots of opportunities to serve at First Baptist!

Why only three?
Because we know you’re already busy … maybe already too busy.  And, the last thing that we want First Baptist to be in your life is “yet another thing” to do in a schedule that is already bulging at the seams.

That said, we do also provide mid-week events for our youth as well as Equip, our ministry to the fine students of SDSU.
